For the film Perfect Match, frame by frame created the VFX for the key sequences, focusing on three main tasks: face replacements, set extensions for the Wimbledon and Roland Garros stadiums, and crowd multiplication in the stands.
The work on face replacements presented a fascinating technical challenge. Using photogrammetry, the team reconstructed the three-dimensional facial features of the lead actors, replacing those of the doubles during the tennis matches. The result ensured seamless visual continuity, preserving the naturalness and authenticity of the performances.

The set extensions required meticulous work to recreate the atmosphere of the iconic Wimbledon and Roland Garros stadiums. To complete the scene, the team executed crowd multiplication using a combination of CG and compositing. Digitally generated characters, designed with thematic outfits, varied expressions and diverse movements, were replicated across the stands.
Compositing played a crucial role in integrating the 3D characters with the real ones, ensuring that even the digital spectators followed the matches with synchronised eye movements, body gestures and head turns.
The result is a visually immersive experience that places the viewer directly at the heart of the match, capturing the unique energy of tennis's most legendary games.
